Rights and Citizenship (2014-2020)

The Rights and Citizenship Programme is the successor of three 2007-2013 programmes: Fundamental Rights and Citizenship, Daphne III, and the Sections "Antidiscrimination and Diversity" and "Gender Equality" of the Programme for Employment and Social Solidarity (PROGRESS).
Global Budget: 439 million Euro

Daphne III (2007-2013)

The Daphne III programme aims to contribute to the protection of children, young people and women against all forms of violence and attain a high level of health protection, well-being and social cohesion.
Its specific objective is to contribute to the prevention of, and the fight against all forms of violence occurring in the public or the private domain, including sexual exploitation and trafficking of human beings.
It aims to take preventive measures and provide support and protection for victims and groups at risk.

PROGRESS (2007-2013)

PROGRESS was EU's employment and social solidarity programme. It covers both gender equality and tackling discrimination themes.
PROGRESS  was established to support financially the implementation of the objectives of the European Union in employment, social affairs and equal opportunities, as set out in the Social Agenda. It also contributes to the achievement of the Europe 2020 Strategy.
